When it comes to enjoying the water with our little ones, swim nappies are an essential part of the equation... none of us want to be the parents of the floating poop baby on the public pool.

But disposable swim nappies contribute significantly to waste generation, with millions of them ending up in landfills each year. These nappies take a long time to decompose due to their synthetic materials, and their disposal can harm wildlife and ecosystems.

In light of this, reusable swim nappies have emerged as a promising solution.

So here is an honest review of reusable swim nappies!

Pros :

- Less waste : Reusable swim nappies offer a greener and more sustainable option for us parents who want to reduce their environmental footprint. By investing in reusable swim nappies, you can help prevent countless disposable nappies from entering landfills.

- Cheaper : While the initial cost may be higher than buying disposable nappies, the long-term savings are substantial, as reusable nappies can be used for multiple swim sessions and even for subsequent children.

- Fashionable and can be used as a swimsuit as well!

- Prevent poop leak! Tested and approved by my little one!

Cons :

- Effectiveness : Yes it leak, they are mainly designed to hold poop and minimise its leakage into the water. However, they may not be as effective in preventing leaks when it comes to urine. And I talk by experience... '-.-

This limitation is common to most swim nappies, including disposable ones as well, so if your baby is gonna leak, at least he will leak being more sustainable ;)

Here are some tips for optimal use:

  1. Choose the right size: Ensure a snug fit around the legs and waist of your baby.
  2. Wash by hand.
  3. Pick a good brand like : Baby splash, bambino mio...

Reusable swim nappies offer us an environmentally friendly alternative to their disposable counterparts and allow us to enjoy guilt-free aquatic adventures with our little ones. Have fun!!!
